My name is Debra V. Wilson, and I am a resilience and adaptive thinking consultant.

Welcome to my website, It Is Your Story...with your story being the holder of your organizational history. And like all histories organizational or not, in your story is a road map with a plethora of possibilities leading to greater resilience and adaptive thinking.

For instance, I am a survivor of the Troubles, as they manifested in Dundalk, County Louth in Ireland at the tail end of the Troubles. And I was extracted from a precarious situation by the joint efforts of some in the then PIRA, the Garda Siochana (Ireland’s Police Force) and MI5 (UK’s internal intelligence agency).
Whilst the experience led to a bout of PTSD, it was also the catalyst for the volunteer and unsolicited research service I provided to SO15 (Counter Terrorism Policing out of the Metropolitan Police). And MI5 .

With the United Kingdom’s participation in the war in Iraq, there was a relational uptick in extremism  by some in the UK to the country’s involvement in the war.

From Chicago, I traveled to London three to four times a year interviewing the public, those who could be accurately described as having beliefs that were extreme, and some foreign nationals based in London with practical experience navigating their own  national security models.

The ultimate purpose of my research was to understand the resilience and adaptability of the UK’s internal national security model through the lens of varies members of society, as a way of  thanking the  British 

My findings were submitted in report form to an SO15 officer at immigration  in Heathrow Airport upon my arrival in the United Kingdom.

I have done similar research in Canada, and to a lesser degree in Israel whilst living in Haifa.

I also, for a short period of time stayed engaged via the internet to the often public transition of what was the PIRA now seeking seeking expression of group identify  solely through  Sinn Féin .  And I, several years ago, very briefly submitted suggestions on words that were more inline with a political partly. 

It is my goal to take my 10 plus years of experience, and work with UK based organizations and businesses who are best described, in perpetual motion, in areas of resilience and adaptability.
